BlurXTerminator 2: Major upgrade

The AI-based tool BlurXTerminator (BXT) from Russell Croman, was a revolution for the deconvolution of astro images when it was released a year ago. Now version 2 has been released, and again the improvements are revolutionary once again. In particular the way BXT is now able to correct for all kind of optical defects such as aberrations, coma, astigmatism, etc. is mind-blowing. Typical optical defects such as sensor-tilt, improper back-focus distance, etc can now be corrected by one single click of a button.

As with the previous version, BXT 2.0 has caused quite some debate in the astro-imagers community. The results are so good, that one could argue not to bother too much anymore with the quality of the optical system, and instead rely on software to fix mistakes. Without question, ensuring the best optical quality will always give the better results, also with BXT 2.0. But also when not going for the best in optics, BXT now offers an extremely efficient solution to correct in post-production.

BXT 2.0 is available for $99.95 dollar as a plugin for PixInsight only. For existing BXT users, the upgrade is free.
